Mavic’s Crossmax wheels get Boost-ed with wider rims

The Crossmax Pro and Crossmax Elite received a few updates.

Mavic’s Crossmax MTB Wheel-Tire System line got a little wider. Mavic unveiled its first two wheelsets with Boost compatibility: Crossmax Pro and Crossmax Elite. Both are available now, in 27.5 and 29, and at a new low price point for the Crossmax line. Each is Shimano/SRAM compatible and can be converted to the XD driver.


Crossmax Pro

  • 6-bolt disc, Lefty compatibility available
  • ISM4D machined rim is lighter without compromising on strength
  • 24 Zicral spokes with Isopulse lacing to the rear ensure stiffness and responsiveness

  • Pulse Pro tire in 2.1 or 2.25 with light and strong single ply casing and X-mix dual compound


Crossmax Elite

  • 6-bolt disc, Lefty compatibility available
  • Maxtal rim is both light and strong, built with a 22mm internal width rim and a hookless profile
  • ISM4D machining makes the wheel lighter without compromising on strength
  • ITS 4 freewheel system gives you faster acceleration
  • 24 straight-pull bladed and double-butted spokes on front and rear
  • Tubeless tape on wheels: the lightest and simplest way to get the tubeless benefits such as better traction, comfort, and reduced risk of flats
  • Pulse Pro tire in 2.1 or 2.25 with X-mix dual compound
