Video: Ft. William World Cup preview

ftbillpreview

My favorite World Cup venue is once again filling up with fans and racers as the third round is underway this weekend in Ft. William, Scotland. Can Gee Atherton repeat his win from 2013? Can Peaty grab a win on home soil? Will there be any 26-inch bikes still around? So far we know Lapierre, Devinci and Specialized will be debuting new machines this weekend.

Check out what the racers will face with a run from the always-entertaining Claudio Caluori.

‘This is Peaty’ – Season 3, Episode 2

peaty3-2-1-2

“It’s been a busy few weeks since South Africa!”

Peaty wasn’t lying when he said it’d been a hectic couple of weeks since the first UCI World Cup round.

Starting with the annual pilgrimage to the Scottish Six Day Trial with James Dabill, then onto the Swiss Alps with Claudio Calouri to scout a new World Cup track for 2015…

All of this was perfect training for Peaty’s home race, ‘Steel CIty Downhill’, the world biggest/smallest downhill race. An amazing weekend, with a huge turnout… did Steve take his 4th win in a row?

peaty3-2-3-2

When you think Australia, you think dry, barren and dusty. Cairns was certainly the opposite, which made for a memorable week of both racing and off the bike adventures.

Catch up with Steve and co for the fully story and more in Episode 2!

Video: Guerrilla Gravity introduces the MegaTrail

A few months back we brought you details of the Megatrail, the second bike from the upstart Guerrilla Gravity based out of Colorado. The American-made frame is adjustable from “trail mode” to “gravity mode” with a swap of the shock mount, and the geometry drops and slackens out for near-downhill bike levels of performance.

Framesets start at $1,925 with complete bikes starting at $3,495. Keep an eye out as we hope to have one in for testing soon.

A bit of a warning, part two of this three part series gets a little graphic as the Smith team pushes through the final stages of the Andes Pacifico Enduro race. A blind course makes it an even playing field, but also a game of question on how hard to push yourself around every turn. “When you’re in the gate, you have to have a clear mind or you’ll be the next one to go down…”

‘This is Peaty’ – Season 3, Episode 1

peaty

“He’s one of the best at what he does, so why change him?”

Over the course of Peaty’s career, winters spent with Adella Carter and the Sheffield Hallam team have proved vital in his long and illustrious career.

Getting time of the DH bike is always tough with such a busy schedule and other commitments, so starting off the season with a trip to Barcelona to catch up with Ivan Oulego for his annual race was rad. David Vasquez, our UCI World Cup delegate and part time tour guide took us to some of the best trails Barcelona had to offer and after two days of smashing laps with Bernat Guardia and co, everyone was psyched.
